I started singing in front of large crowds at the age of seven, but the longing to make music my career didn't start until I wrote my first song at age 12. Shortly afterwards, I created a Contemporary Christian rock/pop band ("narrowpath") with my brother and sister. We wrote original music and performed concerts all up and down the East Coast.
We have since gone on to pursue our individual passions. My sister is currently pursuing her dream of film scoring (www.jacsboothe.com), and my bro has yet to decide what he wants to pursue. As for me, I'm currently employed as Worship Leader for Cape Charles Baptist Church in Cape Charles Virginia. (Would love to have you come worship with us some Sunday at 11 am!) I also love to song-write... My EP is now available, so be sure to check it out and give me feed back on what you think of it!
The inspiration for the stage name "Tarry" came from my Great Grandma, Teresa, whom I greatly admire. In addition to being inspired by her, I've had to learn to wait (aka tarry) upon the Lord throughout the tough times in my life. As a matter of fact, tarrying upon the Lord was the inspiration for my first song.
Music has always had a special place in my life, and it truly is my passion. One of the greatest joys I have is being able to see how a simple song can encourage and uplift someone who needs it.
This is just a short blip of my story, but I hope you find it encouraging. Always know that throughout the dark days of your life, the sun will always rise, and the Son is always there for you. Keep moving forward, stay hopeful, and pursue your dreams!
